The manufacturing plant in Port Elizabeth produces both small and large volume parenterals.
The main purpose of this position is to provide HR Business partnership and support to a portfolio of clients within the organization on various Human resources functions, including recruitment & selection, training and development, performance monitoring, employee counselling, employee benefits, employee relations and general administration work such as maintaining an effective admin database using various systems.

The HR BP will be allocated to dedicated departments for which the following functions will be applicable:
•Facilitate the overall recruitment process, including the updating of the job description, compilation and publication of the advert, shortlisting CVs, preparation of the interview questions, scheduling and conducting interviews, ensuring compliance to recruitment requirements, reference checking, preparation of the offer and the notification of unsuccessful candidates. Ensure that EE targets are met and all appointments are in line with EE act.
•Responsible for overall dispute resolution and general employment relations management.
•Manage disciplinary action in line with the company’s disciplinary code and applicable law
•Represent the company at the CCMA or Bargaining Council, in alignment with the Sr HR and Org Dev Manager, by preparing and presenting the company's case and concluding the matter in line with the company issued mandate as required.
•Coordinate the grievance process by notifying the parties, facilitating the grievance discussion and monitoring the resolution of grievances as and when required.
•Facilitate and coordinate the BBBEE process on an ongoing basis
•Facilitate and administer the processes required in order to comply with the Employment Equity Act
•Facilitate the performance management process by supporting line management with the drafting of performance reviews and related enquiries and grievances and identifying and analyzing performance related gaps
•Determine training needs, source appropriate training providers, schedule training, oversee the logistics and ensure the administration is completed and assist with succession planning
•Apply for Discretionary Grants through Chieta and ensure all relevant contracts and administration are completed before the deadline
•Update HR SOP’s and assist with the resolution of HR CAPAs and deviations, in accordance with the Quality Management System
•Provide HR operations advice to managers and staff in relation to employment contracts, terms of employment and the interpretation of agreements and policies as required.
•Contribute to the development, review and maintenance of human resource policies, practices and procedures.
•Assist in the development and interpretation of human resource data, to assist business units with workforce planning and operational matters.
•Analyze trends, metrics to understand issues and develop workable solutions
•Effective management of key HR projects through liaising with the HR Manager, within the budgeted time frame
•Provide payroll support to the Payroll Administrator with regards to changes and adjustments as and when required.
Minimum qualification is a three-year Degree in Human Resources Management or relevant HR qualification
At least eight years’ HR generalist experience, including at least three years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.
•Knowledge of relevant legislation (LRA, BCEA, EE Act, Skills Development Act)
•Knowledge, skills and experience in all aspects of employee /industrial relations
•Sound knowledge of CCMA appearances and dispute resolution
•Experience conducting recruitment processes and facilitating training needs
•Project Management skills
•Excellent skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•High levels of confidentiality, credibility and trust
