Main purpose of the job
Management, co-ordination and administration of projects funded through the DHET University Capacity Development Grant (UCDG), nGAP Programme, and special projects in teaching and learning, in line with University policy requirements and relevant DHET guidelines.
|Job Functions||Academic,Programme Manager|
1. Manage the allocation and administration of the UCDG
2. Manage the allocation and administration of the New Generation Academic Programme (nGAP) lecturers
3. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of UCDG projects and teaching and learning/academic support programme
4. Collect scientific data for improvement of UCDG projects, teaching and learning development activities to promote the scholarship of teaching and learning
5. Performance evaluation of the Teaching and Learning strategic plan
6. Administration and support

Minimum salary scale: (Total Cost to Company)R803 400 per annum
Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
•3 or more years relevant experience in capacity development in a higher education teaching and learning environment
Desired Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
•PhD in Education/HE Studies or equivalent with more than 5 years in capacity development in a higher education teaching and learning environment
•A PGDip in Higher Education for Academic Developers and/or experience in grant administration will be an added advantage
