Introduction
SBV Consulting Services currently seeks a Managing Director who will be responsible for providing strategic guidance in order to deliver the objectives of the Group through thought leadership and leveraging strategic engagements with key stake holders i.e. directors. shareholder, industry leaders. This includes developing and implementing strategic plans and company policies, maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders, and driving the achievement of the Group’s objectives.

Specification
Lead and drive strategy
•Act as a visionary to facilitate the development of the organisation strategy by providing thought leadership on the long-term vision, values and sustainable strategic plan for the business and ensure its execution
•Create and lead an overarching group strategy, providing consolidated and coherent Strategic models across the various companies
•Provide strategic advice and guidance to the chair and members of the Board and Trust and keep them aware of all developments within the industries (Learning and Development and Cash Management)
•Develop the Annual Report/Review for the Group of Companies clearly outlining achievements against strategic intent

Sustainability of the organisation through continuous improvement and efficiency
•Develop and implement an Organisational Performance Management Process to measure achievement of the Strategic Intent
•Continually review the Operating models to identify future growth and expansion opportunities
•Drive innovation as a core deliverable throughout the Group, embedding an innovation culture within the end to end value chain
•Implement an annual customer satisfaction survey to improve customer experience

Provide guidance on the commercial viability of the organisation
•Commercialise the relevant aspects of the Group to ensure acceptable ROI and profitability
•Prepare an annual operational plan and budget and monitor progress against these plans to ensure that the Group delivers targeted revenue generating activities as cost-effectively (zero wasteful expenditure) and efficiently as possible
•Drive innovative solution/product development to enhance the overall competitiveness within the market
•Responsible for the marketing and sales strategy to maintain market relevance and promote products and services to increase sales.
•Establish and deliver Organisational Reporting and Insights in alignment with the agreed timelines of the Board, the Trust and key stakeholders
•Lead, control and manage the business expansion or any other opportunity, taking responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies to achieve targets set by the Board of Directors.


Internal Business Process Management
•Facilitate the design of processes, policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and continually review procedures, systems and performance against plans, budgets and progress of programmes and projects ensuring organisational agility
•Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
•Develop a strong brand identity synonymous with innovative and collaborative solution design and delivery in alignment with the overarching strategy
•Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, authorities and internally amongst teams
•Direct largescale change management ensuring an agile organisation is built capable of meeting customer dynamic needs
•Develop effective client engagement models that delivers a great customer experience
•Establish and deliver a consulting services (managed services) portfolio while ensuring best practice in the operating environment
•Establish and deliver a training services portfolio while ensuring best practice in the operating environment
•Translate projects into timelines, deliverables and assignments, ensuring delivery of committed ROI to clients.
•Drive and maintain the quality of products, services, customer support and level of service in line with service level agreements and other retention strategies.

Financial Performance Management
•Ownership for the establishment of a sustainable budget for the group inclusive of instituting proper financial controls including the development of pricing models
•Full responsibility for the profitability, ROI and sustainability of the consolidated group of companies within the structure
•Ensure adherence to all financial compliance requirements
•Effectively manage the shared and donated services with the Founding partners
•Oversee Annual Audits and the development of Approved Annual Financial Statements
•Balance cash flow needs with short term investments to maximise ROI

People Management
•Provide oversight and approval for the establishment and maintenance of Human Capital Management governance, practices and standards
•Provide leadership to the various management teams across the group
•Create a conducive environment which translates into productivity and high morale within the executive team
•Provide strategic support to the various team and inspire them to deliver on key performance areas
•Adhere to legislative requirements and policies and procedures
•Lead the focus on talent to instil value creation for high value contributors
•Oversee the implementation of a performance management system to measure and guide performance of teams
•Lead an agile team capable of adapting to the needs of clients

Risk Management
•Overall responsibility for the mitigation of strategic risks and ensuring the respective management teams are leading and controlling operational risks
•Review and mandate the risk appetite and tolerance levels for the organisation
•Chair the Risk Management Committee

Lead the organisation culture
•Drive Transformation initiatives to ensure sustainable alignment to the company scorecard
•Provide leadership to various management teams and employees across the group, creating a winning culture and high morale
•Initiate and lead a culture of performance driven output through shared purpose vision and values

Learning and Development Business Partner Service to Clients
•Lead the L&D BP service offering to clients to support revenue generation
•Co-create with the client a holistic Learning and Development Strategy incorporating client’s contribution to industry development, organisational development, employee development and unemployed youth development
•Assist client to determine if training is the solution to an organisation problem or challenge and if so develop and implement the intervention
•Support the client to develop an agile learning culture to meet the new ways of working in a digital environment – determine learning needs
•Work with the client to build the technology resource capabilities of employees to adapt to the agile ways of learning
•Investigate new opportunities and growth areas where cash is being replaced with emerging technologies, processes and systems (research services, consulting services and future skills training)

Requirements

Work Experience:
•10 years’ experience managing a Revenue driven Business Unit within a large complex organisation of which:
o5 years entails crafting strategic direction and strategies
o3 years of commercialising opportunities
o3 years in a learning and development environment
•Extensive exposure to Board meetings and other sub-committee meeting experience
•PSIRA Registration advantageous.

Education:

•Degree in Business Management Qualification (preferably MBA)
•Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
•Valid Driver’s License
