Purpose:
To provide necessary and appropriate legal advice to Group of Companies

Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Contribute to the efficient and effective fulfilment of the regulatory function
•Assist in preventing legal and regulatory risk by keeping up with changes and development to legislation
•Assist in drafting, maintaining and updating policies and procedures in line with legislative changes
•Assist with providing training to management and staff regarding forthcoming and existing legislation
•Drafting of legal opinions as and when required
2.Provide legal services for effective communication
•Assist in changing complex language into plain language (TCF) (letters, contracts, application forms)
•Assist with promoting awareness regarding the importance of plain language writing
3.Draft legal documentation for the Assupol Group
•Review and draft contracts, application forms and letters according to client specifications and legislative requirements
4.Provide general legal services
•Consult and liaise with stakeholders on general legal requirements
•Provide overall legal assistance, guidance and advice to the Assupol Group of Companies
•Liaise with external attorneys regarding debt collection and other legal matters
•Review lease agreements for the Assupol Group of Companies
•Promote effective communication to clients
5.Responsible for internal and external legal services
•Liaise with external attorneys regarding debt collection and other legal matters
•Assist Assupol employees with legal matters and provide instructions to external attorneys

Formal Education:
LLB Degree
Admitted Attorney (advantage)
Experience:
2 - 3 years experience in Commercial Law or Litigation
Insurance Experience (advantage)
