Assisting in the application of technical engineering procedures and applications of the Municipality associated with the provision of information and drafting specifications and technical designs of Electrical infrastructure (High Voltage, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage networks with associated equipment) at a medium complexity level, evaluation of land use planning and development, building plans, electrical engineering plans, wayleave, electrical applications and maintenance personnel ensuring through creative and specialized applications, accurate specifications and standards of structure and form can be established to support planning, discussions and decision-making processes in compliance with laid down standards, policies, legislation, systems and controls.

To ensure that technical information is made available on elementary/basic types of engineering works in accordance with instructions enabling professionals to evaluate and align design methodology. To ensure that key variables and the interacting dimensions of simple elements or systems are adequately addressed to enable assessment of choices and solutions. To ensure compliance to the Procurement Policy of Council. Preparing investigational and productivity reports referring to statistical data and qualitative information related to service delivery execution and/or extracting qualitative and quantitative reports for submission to the immediate superior detailing with the status of operations. Coordinating the implementation of procedures, systems and controls related to the receiving, updating and recording of operational information and activities associated with the functionality (information storage and retrieval systems, etc.). To ensure that administrative needs are met in the section. To ensure that laid down specifications, standards and statutory requirements controlling specific plans/applications are complied with and established outcomes accomplished. To ensure a well-maintained designated vehicle and the accurate capturing of kilometres in accordance with the laid down Procedures, Policies and guidelines. To ensure that effective communication is promoted with the internal and external stakeholders. To ensure health and safety compliance according to the relevant legislation.
National Diploma Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 6). Code B Drivers' license. Computer literacy (MS Office Applications). Proficiency in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape (English, Afrikaans and IsiXhosa). Good human relations, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to give attention to detail.
Experience: 2 Years relevant experience.
