To ensure requirements are co-ordinated and instructions communicated and understood enabling the efficient execution and completion of tasks/ activities. Construct and install new or upgrade existing electrical networks including cables, distribution lines, substations, transformers, distribution and metering panels and service connections. Terminating cables, wires etc to junction boxes, connecting blocks and/ or terminals including soldering, fitting of lugs and harnessing wires. Jointing and termination of low voltage cable, line stringing and tensioning, low voltage switchgear. Testing, live switching, live phasing, earthing on low voltage equipment. To ensure scheduled planned and predictive maintenance, cycle and work procedures are complied with enabling uninterrupted and optimum functionality of the electrical power supply system. Test and maintain electricity networks, electrical protection and metering equipment, standby generators, building electrical, pump stations (electrical switchgear) and mechanical installations. Testing, live switching, live phasing, earthing on low voltage equipment. Isolating, removing and replacing defective components and/ or attending to the stripping, Performs specialized tasks such as low voltage cable fault finding, termination and jointing, line stringing and tensioning, low voltage switchgear and transformer maintenance to ensure proper and efficient planned, preventative and emergency maintenance in accordance with the specifications and in compliance with the relevant safety legislation. Providing guidelines and specific instructions to personnel with respect to the storage of materials, equipment and/ or hitching of trailers and checking and correcting any deviations from safety procedures To ensure details of activities are accurately recorded to facilitate the processing of information related to productivity, personnel, time and material allocation. To ensure a well-maintained designated vehicle and the accurate capturing of kilometres in accordance with the laid down Procedures, Policies, and guidelines. Transporting personnel. material and monitoring the off-loading of materials and equipment. To ensure health and safety compliance to the OHS Act.
Trade Tested Electrical Artisan. Code C1 + PrDP Driver’s License.
Valid ORHVS Certificate. Certificate of competence in Operating a Mobile Elevating Work platform (MEWP). Candidates whose license has expired will be allowed to renew within 6 months. Experience: 2 years relevant experience in an electrical environment.
