Introduction
Oversight of Clinical Pharmacy use across the Clinix Health Group institutions. Development of required tools and protocols for effective and efficient management of essential medicines by prescribers, dispensers, and end users. Play a key role in medicine demand planning in preparation for pharmaceutical procurement. Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Clinix Health Group medicine formulary. Provide guidance and training to pharmacists and pharmacy managers on implementation of and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures. Be a champion of pharmacist’s operational research and Continuing Professional Development to align with Pharmacy legislation.

Specification
•Assist in managing the medicine procurement process by providing accurate medicine estimates and quantification as well as participation in medicine demand planning and evaluation.
•Ensure development of a Clinix Health Group medicine master data system.
•Provide guidance to Clinix Health Group institutional pharmacies on Antimicrobial Stewardship and Pharmacovigilance.
•Staff training on reviewing of implementation of and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
•Development of management reports on rationale medicine use across Clinix Health Group institutions for strategic reviews and decision making.
•Encourage pharmacists in operational research and Continuing Professional Development.
•Oversight of Clinical Pharmacy use across the Clinix Health Group using standard tools.
•Coordination of the development and maintenance of the Clinix Health Group medicine formulary.
•Participation in Group Clinical Risk Management meetings.
Requirements
•B. Pharm Degree. A post graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy will be an added advantage.
•Current Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist.
•Five (5) years’ experience as a pharmacist (post internship) of which two (2) years must be in Clinical Pharmacy inclusive of Antibiotic Stewardship, Pharmacovigilance, and general Rationale Medicine Use.
•A broad experience in the development and maintenance of a pharmaceutical formulary.
•Experience in Pharmaceutical Policy and Planning will be an added advantage.
•Experience in the development of medicine data systems.
