Introduction
The incumbent takes responsibility for General Practitioners and Specialist’s integration strategies, with the aim of driving hospital revenue. Marketing professionals in healthcare create and implement marketing plans for the hospital, in alignment to the Group strategy. In addition, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning of strategic programs and events that build relationships between healthcare personnel and patients, as well as position the respective hospital’s products and services favourably in the local healthcare market. Overall the Marketing Manager takes responsibility for leading and managing all activities in support of the Group Marketing Strategy including conceptualizing messaging and building predictable, scalable processes that increase brand awareness and outbound client leads.

Specification
•Deliver a measurable Doctor-engagement strategy by engaging with medical professionals internally and externally in order to drive cohesion and to ultimately contribute to the revenue of the hospital.
•Conduct regular strategic General Practitioner engagement to increase referrals.
•Generate meaningful leads by identifying professionals who may meet the gap analysis profile (i.e. Doctors required) within the hospital.
•Conduct bi-annual market research and post-campaign analysis with the aim of understating current demographics/target market as well as identifying opportunities in neighbouring towns. This in turn contributes to market segmentation and strategy development.
•Conceptualize and execute concurrently, throughout the year, all activities conducted taking the overall Group plan and targets into consideration.
•Lead the development and implementation of a Marketing strategy for area of responsibility in accordance with the overall marketing strategy for Group.
•Meet with relevant stakeholders to review business performance and to drive outcomes.
•Ensure that all customer/patient experience facing communication and touch-points are updated, thus enhancing the patient journey and experience, as customer experience is a key aspect of brand management.
•Support the Hospital Manager in ensuring that the customer experience online platform (MyVoice), is advertised, results monitored and required actions implemented.
•Align hospital marketing activities with that of the mother brand.
•Create brand consistency in all marketing and advertising initiatives.
•Manage all marketing and advertising activities as well as service providers.
•Provide information and insight by collecting, analysing and summarizing data and trends relating to the marketing and PR projects.
•Interpret research data and take the appropriate focused action.
•Plan and coordinate media in order to maximize budgets on a campaign basis by using 360 degree media mix (e.g. press, print, online, TV, radio etc.).
•Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns aimed at different mediums.
•Manage both internal and external communication on all events, per channel.
•Use initiative in driving promotions, advertising and marketing campaigns.
•Interact with the marketing department to achieve the required presentation standard for material.
•Use out of the box thinking on new ways of working and new processes to be implemented.
•Serve on planning, project management and policy making teams, as a key member of the Group management team.
•Manage, lead and support the daily activities of the hospital management department and supporting departments.
•Provide clear reports (weekly or monthly), as required.
Requirements
•Degree in Marketing or sales-related qualification essential.
•Min 3-5 years’ exposure to strategic marketing, planning and implementation.
•Min 3 years sales-related experience.
•Stakeholder engagement experience at various levels of seniority (Management Committee to Exco).
•Understanding of the healthcare industry in South Africa advantageous.
•Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders i.e. Agency partners and internal operational teams.
•Ability to travel (own transport).
