GENERIC JOB CATEGORY DESCRIPTION
Chief Administrative Officer Grade 8 is responsible for the overall administration of the Section Procurement and Stock Control. He or she is responsible for the overall supervision of the staff members at the Section and Stock Control.

•Draw up and oversee maintenance of the procurement and stock control system for the Regional Council.
•Draw up and monitor adherence to frameworks for record keeping.
•Compile submissions of acceptance of donations and forward to the supervisor.
•Prepare and compile burglary reports and forward to the supervisor.
•Ensure that the annual stock taking exercise is carried out.
•Draw up procedures and monitor procedures for transport management.
•Carry out scheduled and unscheduled physical inspection of vehicles.
•Submission of disposal items in accordance with Treasury Instructions.
•Ensure that vehicles are correctly allocated and utilized.
•Allocate and coordinate the work of his/ her staff members under his/ her supervision.
•Maintain discipline within the subsection.
•Monitor the attendance and performance of the staff members under his/her supervision.
•Prepare recommendations for training for staff members under his/ her supervision.
•Carry out performance assessment.
•Maintenance of commitment register.
•Ensure that the archive policy is adhered to.
•Keep Asset Register/ Manual (or computerized).
•Ensure that reports are submitted to the supervisor.
•Analyze inventory statistics.
•Ensure that the Council buildings and their surroundings are kept clean and tidy.
•In charge of Khomas Regional Council Stores.
•Ensure the maintenance of Council buildings and office equipment.
•Perform any work related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate Supervisor.
A National Diploma or equivalent qualification on (NQF L6) plus six (6) years appropriate experience.
