Responsible for the management and co-ordination of patient services resources, processes and operations to achieve the quality, growth and people objectives in order to ensure the optimization of the hospital’s profitability.
•Monitoring and improving quality metrics.
•Managing data integrity and compliance to working procedures.
•Managing the collection of outstanding co-payments from patients.
•Ensuring accurate implementation and application of medical aid rules and benefits.
•Ensuring implementation and application of COID rules.
•Ensure appropriate delegation and allocation of case managers to wards according to skills and strengths.
•Ensuring that the correct and accurate Level of Care is applied such that there is alignment between the case managers and the unit managers at all times.
•Ensure that all updates are communicated daily with the correct codes, ICD10 and/or CPT codes.
•Ensuring active daily ward rounds by Case managers to be able to generate current clinical information to funders.
•Ensure that all requested motivation letters are submitted to medical aids in real time.
•Registered nurse (ICU/Theater trained or experienced).
•A qualification in business admin/frontline management.
•Minimum of five years relevant experience in a leadership role with change and people management experience.
•Current registration with the relevant professional / regulatory body.
•Understanding of relevant and current legislation as well as the knowledge of CPT/ICD coding, technical and clinical concepts and patient services business processes is a pre-requisite.
•Understanding of basic financial principles (i.e., budgets, credit management, planning).
•Proficiency in SAP system.
