The Commercial Leasing Department in Pretoria has a position for a Leasing Agent. If you believe you meet the requirements for this position then we would appreciate your application.

The purpose of the role is to successfully lease vacancies & build sustainable relationships.

Specification
The main tasks and responsibilities associated with the position are listed below. This is not an exhaustive list of tasks and responsibilities and any other tasks and/or responsibilities that could be reasonably expected for the position may be required.

Ensure the successful leasing of all properties timeously
1.Timeous and professional attendance to all incoming leasing enquiries and walk-in customers.
2.Prepare all leasing deals accurately and timeously and present to prospective tenant for required signatures.
3.Ensure the needs and suitability of the potential tenant is accurately assessed & correctly directed to an appropriate building
4.Obtain approval on leasing deals from Portfolio Managers and/or relevant Manager according to Signature of Delegated Authority (SODA).
5.Attend required forum to present leasing deals for approval according to SODA regulations.
6.Follow up on all deals and provide feedback to the relevant Manager.
7.Attend all required meetings to provide feedback on all active leads.
8.Ensure all leasing enquires on the CRM system are managed and resolved within the required time frame.
9.Communicate specific and special leasing requirements to all relevant stakeholders.
10.Show prospective tenants’ vacant units.
11.View prospective tenants’ current premises.
12.Reduce vacancies to increase long- term income.
13.Ensure all reports, correspondence & proposals are done accurately and is well presented.

Facilitate the successful installation of the tenant
1.Follow business processes in terms of tenant installation requirements.
2.Successfully hand over the premises once the deal has been approved
3.Handover ownership of the tenant to the relevant Portfolio Manager as soon as the tenants starts trading.

Conduct market research to ensure that vacancies are filled timeously
1.Identify possible leads through market investigations and cold calling.
2.Be familiar with all buildings & vacancies in portfolio to ensure that appropriate tenants are placed for the market and area.
3. Provide feedback to Property Managers regarding any concerns that will have an impact in the letting of vacancies.

Relationship Building
1.Establish a network of contacts
2.Establish rapid rapport with new tenants
3.Establish good relationship within the industry
4.Maintain good public relations
5.Act as a single point of contact for certain tenants as well as external brokers.

Working conditions: Office Based. Regular travelling will be required.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
1.Matric required.
2.Estate Agencies Affairs Board Competency Certificate (NQF Level 4) preferred.
3.Registration with the Estate Agent Association Board preferred.
4.Diploma or tertiary qualification preferred.
5.3-5 years’ experience in sales or leasing required.
6.Code 08 Driver License required:

2.Basic knowledge of MDA preferred.
3.Basic knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
4.Proficiency in English required.
