The above position has become available for our Kempton Park Depot. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all despatches are executed promptly and efficiently in line with customer requirements.

• Captures Routes on SAMIS and the debriefing thereof.
•Forwards request for labour to the Depot Manager, thereby ensuring that sufficient labour is available for the loading and off-loading of vehicles.
•Inspects containers for defects prior to loading and reports findings and recommendations to Depot Supervisor Manager.
•Loads containers ensuring no damage could occur to products in transit.
•Supervises all loading and off-loading ensuring the safety and security of products.
•Ensuring that all invoices are received in accordance of pre-planned SAMIS Route Planning
•Makes appointments with sub-contractors and couriers for collection and deliveries of goods.
•Completes relevant documentation for despatches by sub-contractors and couriers.
•Makes appointments with customers as well as COD customers re delivery times.
•Ensures that a fully completed and signed POD is received for all goods despatched.
•Matches and files all POD’s with relevant orders/invoices.
•Controls receipt of POD’s and reports any outstanding POD’s to the Depot Supervisor.
•Receives and signs for all monies collected for COD deliveries from drivers and forwards to Admin Clerk at the end of each day.
•Ensures that signatures are obtained for all transactions involving the transfer of money between Depot Personnel.
•Performs any other tasks as directed by the Depot Manager.
•Assists with preparation of warehouse/s for bi-annual stock take including required documenation
•Act responsibly and professionally at all times, fostering goodwill and a positive image for the Company.
•OHS – Basic Training.
•Warehousing Diploma is ideal.
•Time Management and Organisational Skills.
2 Years experience as a receiving / despatch assistant, or similar career path.
