Specification
•Act as an advisor to the company Boards, and provide critical advice on industry and market issues that are likely to impact the business and ensure efficient co-ordination and execution of the Boards’ and MMA’s turnaround mandate to Management;
•Develop strategic and annual business plans and budgets for The company’s businesses and present to the Board of Directors for approval;

•Direct and drive the turnaround strategies for The company businesses in a manner that will optimize achievement of the business goals and objectives, and result in increased shareholder value;
•Provide leadership in the development and implementation of specific strategic thrusts to enhance profitability and shareholder value;
•Provide strategic direction on a daily basis in terms of the execution of the approved turnaround strategies to deliver shareholder value on the back of profitable growth;
•Act as Company representative at all relevant stakeholder forums and in all matters legal and economic;
•Ensure that the organizational structure, management team and staff are aligned to implement the strategies and business plan;
•Optimise the physical infrastructure and systems for the business to operate functionally and cost effectively;
•Be accountable for the management and performance of The company;
•Develop and introduce profitable and competitive products and related services into the target markets through the various distribution and service channels;
•Formulate and implement corporate policies (adhering to good corporate governance), operational procedures and financial controls;
•Manage the day-to –day activities of the business to meet financial / profitability and related objectives;
•Adhere to statutory reporting and other regulatory requirements;
•Marketing of the business among the community, media and key stakeholders in the government and private sector leveraging of the Momentum brand in accordance with the brand plan;
•Keep the Board and the company appraised and informed of all-important matters pertaining to the effective operation of the company business;
•Growing the business in a sustainable way to maximise shareholder value;

•Any other such duties as directed by the Board and HQ from time to time.
Requirements
•An appropriate business post graduate tertiary qualification (e.g. B.Comm and/ or MBA); -
•At least 10 years of directly related executive management experience;
•Must have a solid, in depth understanding of the business environment, processes, legislative and industry requirements;
•The successful candidate must be a Mozambican;
•The candidate appointed in this position must be independent and not have any direct shareholding in any shareholder interests in the company or subsidiary companies or must relinquish such shareholding;
•The successful candidate must qualify to be appointed to the Board of The company;
•The candidate must meet all regulatory requirements.
