To act as a subject matter expert or a User Champion on the Group’s business applications such as the core banking and related channels/ sub-systems in order to be able provide business support to LHL subsidiaries; users on any functionality, operational and product issues they encounter on a daily basis.

Recommends changes in methods or procedures to increase efficiency, as necessary.
Applies subject-matter-expert functional knowledge to produce complex work deliverables in support of departmental initiatives as well as to provide business support the country users on day to day operational and product issues.
Responsible for the change management process when solutions/ systems have gone live into production via the Patch management process, Bug testing, Regression testing of existing functionality.
Undertake detailed analysis of complex issues reported by users independently without the assistance of senior members and recommend solutions to the user or technical teams.
Identifies opportunities and facilitates significant improvements to the LHL Group’s processes and business applications.
Provides administrative and analytical support for Strategic Planning initiatives as well as creating, producing and reporting on applicable metrics and key performance indicators
Creates and produces regular compliance reports that serve to hold the division accountable for meeting defined targets
Supports the Group Operations team with data analysis and problem solving
Responsible for deploying, reviewing, and testing changes to the production trading environment inclusive of business, software and hardware changes.
For all new implementations or enhancements on the core banking and related channels the incumbent is expected to work with the relevant business and technology leads to agree the testing scope for the required level of assurance
Responsible for the preparation of user training plans, programs, content and material for implementation of new or enhancements of core banking system and related channels.
Facilitate and provide quality and relevant user trainings prior, during and post implementation
A degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Information Systems, an industry/functional qualification such as AAT or a related/ similar qualifications.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in Operations, Finance, IT/ Channels application
Financial Services experience is advantageous
An understanding of core banking systems, customer access channels and experience across diverse geographies.
Good understanding of banking services and operations
Knowledge of new technologies and a willingness to learn and develop
Technical knowledge to prioritize and manage the resolution of system issues
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Exceptional User Service skills
Organisational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects at one time
Problem solving skills with the ability to look for root causes and implementable, workable solutions
