Introduction
AHRI is looking for a Project Coordinator who will be based at Umdoni district. The Project Coordinator will provide support to AHRI and Department of Health (DOH) in the implementation of the KZN Data Warehouse project.

Specification
The Project Coordinator will be seconded to work in a DOH sub-district to help operationalize the data systems and to support implementation of the data use cases and ensure successful programme implementation. Key Duties will include: Planning, managing and implementing programme; review activities and ensure productivity of the team, participate in weekly reviews of data; quality of data and programmatic reports against programme plans; support, coordinate and participate in trainings as needed. The appointee will be expected to follow procedures according to project protocols in support of the Department of Health.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Senior certificate
2. Post-graduate or Honours Degree in a health-related field
3. Sound knowledge of HIV/AIDS and/or TB research
4. Valid driver’s licence

Minimum Experience
1. 3-5 years appropriate/recognisable research coordination experience, preferably in a health research
environment
2. Experience in working with Department of Health and other related partners
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to meet targets
4. Knowledge of health information systems will be an added advantage
5. At least 12 months’ driving experience


Skills Required
1. Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
2. Accuracy and precision;
3. Must be able to work under pressure
