Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position. The position will be based in Western Cape, Stellenbosch, which includes working remotely. The individual will report to the National Commercial Manager.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Product Manager develops products by identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, implementation timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibility Areas:
•Determining customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
•Recommending the nature and scope of present and future products lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas, and/or product or packaging changes.
•Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products.
•Providing source data of product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
•Bringing new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs, preparing return-on-investment analyses, and establishing time schedules with systems development and networks teams.
•Introducing new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and operations.
•Determining product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, costing special and customized orders.
•Completing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
•Drafting products guides.
•Mapping process flows and coordinating the training of employees.
•Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
•Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills: -
•At least 2-3 years relevant experience in the Telecoms sector.
•At least 2-3 years of experience in product management and product development.
•Proficiency in Telecoms products, contracts, and knowledge of the relevant industry legislation and relevant industry agreements.
•Sound numerical skills and computer literacy is essential especially in the use of MS Excel and MS Word.
•Skills or experience in data management and extraction skills would be an advantage.
