Job Functions Management
Industries Mining
To oversee the execution of the deposition plan by planning activities, organising resources, delegating task responsibilities, leading people and controlling risks, costs and deviations to ensure the successful achievement of the mining plan in respect of quality, quantity, efficiency and financial requirements

Maintain Safety

Accountable for systems, structures and processes

Compliance to internal and client SHE systems and legal requirements: MHSA, OHS, FRP-Legal appointment

Prepare safety objectives for area of responsibility-Ensure compliance to safety objectives-Accountable for Baseline & Issue Based Risk Assessments, Incident Management

Reporting, recording and recalling data/information

Involvement in problem resolution and safety improvement processes

Supervise Staff

Individual Work Agreements Management.

Develop a motivating climate.

Create and Lead an objective driven team

Marketing and Client Relationship Management (CRM)

Setting and delivering on targets, objectives and expectations

Ensure that a trust relationship is built throughout clients structures

Acquiring clients structures and assigning resources to ensure engagement

Manage and report on required client engagements

Operate Site (Production)

Custodian of contract and contract obligations

Define Needs, Objectives and Obligations per site

Verify reclamation audit via physical inspection

Attending monthly, quarterly and other required meetings

Preparing required internal and external reports

Financial and Cost Control

Manage scope to get approval of priced scope changes, document scope creep and subsequent rate

Manage rates to pursue, persist and influence rate changes

Continuous Improvement on productivity and efficiency, and method changes

Forecasting and control APP/RPP

Identify and communicate business Intelligence and leads


Bachelors Degree

Suitable Middle Management Certificate/Diploma would be advantageous

Engineering/Production Qualification would be advantageous

MRD 101/201/301 would be advantageous

Basic Tailings Course, Basic Water Management, Basic Rehab Principles, Basic Re-mining


Minimum 3-5years’ experience as Production Manager in Mining/Construction environment

5yrs Reclamation Supervisory Experience

5yrs Process/Production/Mechanical Experience

5yrs Contracting and/or Managerial Experience
