This vacancy has been created within our investment administration team, at our offices in Rondebosch.
This role is responsible for the senior Collective Investment Scheme operations. While the majority of the
function of the role deals with the asset administration of the company Collective Investment Scheme (CIS)
portfolios, the incumbent must also provide support to other team leaders of the segregated asset portfolio
•Oversight of the PT CIS asset admin team
o Responsible for on-boarding and training any new team members
o Oversee the implementation of any new processes or reporting requirements
o Ensuring that processes and control checks are performed and adhered to
o Ensuring that statutory reporting is completed and submitted timeously. This does include
preparation and submission of some of the reports.
o Processing and administration of corporate events.
o Cover for team members during any absence.
o Managing all external audit related activities
• Oversight of PT CIS asset administration, encompassing;
o Daily NAV calculations
o Scrip and cash reconciliations
o Statutory reporting
o Experience with corporate actions - including dividends distributions; corporate actions etc
o General knowledge of CIS portfolio compliance
• Oversight of the PT Segregated equity portfolio administration (1 team member)
o Monitoring and ensuring that brokerage accounts are reconciled (scrip and cash
o Monitoring and ensuring that portfolio transfers from external brokers are executed timeously.
o Processing and administration of corporate events.
o Assist team member in managing the administration of the segregated equity portfolios
• Back-up and risk control functions for Investment Admin Operations, incl:
o Gaining general knowledge of the functions of the rest of the admin department in order to be
able to assist with queries and audit related activities
o Creating new instruments on the portfolio management system, and classification of same
o Quarterly scrip reconciliations
o External audit related activities
