Aligned to group vision and strategy, the Dean of Teaching and Learning provides leadership, mentoring and focus on continuous improvement in teaching and learning and academic operations across all brands and in all faculties that inspires and assures lecturer and academic development; the evolution of innovative curricular and pedagogy for both contact and distance delivery; high levels of student engagement and support; and a culture and service devoted to student learning experience, success and employability.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Dean of Teaching and Learning is Head of Academic Development, Student Support and Academic Management across all brands. In this position, the Dean provides leadership, mentoring and focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of teaching and learning across all brands and in all faculties that inspires and assures lecturer and academic development; the evolution of innovative curricular and pedagogy for both contact and distance delivery; high levels of student engagement and support; and a culture and service devoted to the student learning experience, success and employability.

4.Development of Academic Staff and Teaching Portfolios
5.Management of WIL and Library Information Services

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
1.PhD or a Doctorate in Education is preferred, but a Master of Education degree is minimum requirement.
2.At least five years Academic Management experience in higher education
3.A proven teaching portfolio with academic operations experience.
4.Innovation in pedagogy and experience in online, contact, blended and distance learning.
5.Experience in dealing with regulatory affairs and academic quality assurance processes within a higher education environment.
