To provide Primary Health Care and other specialized Services as required to the students and staff of the University in compliance with HPCSA and NDH Policies

Main tasks
1. Planning & provision of Primary Health Care Clinic services
2. Assist with the management of administration of the clinic & patients
3. Facilitate training, information & briefing sessions
4. Act as 2nd in command in absence of the manager
5. Compile and submit reports
6. Represent the unit internally & externally at different forums

Minimum salary scale
(Total Cost to Company)R 506 963 per annum

Requirements
Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience

•3 years National Diploma in Nursing with Community Health Nursing Science
•2 years’ experience in the service provision of a Primary health Care Clinic or equivalent in Higher Education setting
•Registered as Professional Nurse with SANC
•Knowledge in HAST (HIV AIDS STI AND TB) Management
•Knowledge of relevant medical legislation and Ethical Codes e.g. “Medicine & Related Substances Control Act”
•Understanding of key Higher Education Institutional Systems and Structures
•Understanding of South African Higher Education Policy framework
•Project Management & Report Writing Skills
•Proficient in Excel & Word (Intermediate Level)
•Research capabilities


Desired Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience

•M Tech in Biomedical Technology
•Higher education experience
•Relevant training of WIL students
•3 Years post HPCSA registration (Clinical pathology) as a medical technologist in an HPCSA/SANAS accredited laboratory
