1.1.Development of a Segmented Sales Strategy with action plans for the allocated area

11.1.1.Do a segmented analysis of agricultural activities in his/her area and determine equipment requirements
•Develop a sales plan for each segment including Commercial, Corporate, Projects, Off takers and Government Customers.
•Develop Mechanisation solutions for all segments including Commercial, Corporate, Projects, Off takers and Government Customers.
11.1.2.Execute against set objectives

11.2.Sales Budget

11.2.1.Develop an annual Sales Budget for allocated area.
11.2.2.Communicate and align budget with Regional Manager.
11.2.3.Ensure that Sales Budget is achieved.
11.2.4.Give regular feedback on performance against budget.
11.2.5.Implement immediate corrective actions where deviations occur.

11.3.Sales Actions

11.3.1.Develop and maintain a productive long-term relationship with Customers.
11.3.2.Introduce actions and activities to promote the brand and products in your allocated areas e.g. Study groups, Farmers Groups, Agricultural Institutions, Demonstrations, Farmer’s Days, Collaborations with other Businesses such as Seed and other input providers.
11.3.3.Initiate Sales opportunities by continuous area analysis and identifying opportunities.
11.3.4.Ensure a minimum sales coverage of 80% across all segments.

11.4.Stock Management

11.4.1.Liaise with Logistics/Regional Manger regarding delivery of stock items
11.4.2.Ensure that stock in his/her area is visible and maintained as per Company directives.
11.4.3.Manage stock levels to operate within approved limits.
11.4.4.Arrange for the delivery and commissioning of tractors and/or equipment to customers.
11.4.5.Ensure demonstration and or loaned equipment is well controlled and maintained.


11.5.1.Complete all Administrative paperwork and submit to Head Office to Register equipment.
11.5.2.Submit Area reports as per Management Guidelines
11.5.3.Give feedback to Regional Manager as to status of Commercial, Corporate, Projects, Off takers and Government accounts as per corporate requirements.
11.5.4.Administer sales funnel from activity to concluded or lost sale.

11.6.Sales Staff Management

11.6.1.Manage the Sales staff in the area of responsibility


•Operations - Knowledge of Sales Management.
•Agricultural Mechanisation - Knowledge of the principles and complexities of Agricultural Mechanization products, solutions and planning.
•Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer-needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
•Business Knowledge – Understand the principles of successful business and the application of these principles in this business.
