Specification
Job Purpose
The purpose of the Quality Control Manager is to oversee and manage the quality control processes and procedures to ensure adherence to established quality compliance and standards.

Objectives

Quality Management
•Devise and establish a company's quality procedures, standards, and specifications
•Review customer requirements and make sure they are met throughout the branding process
•Work with Commercial to establish quality requirements from external suppliers on products that will be branded
•Set standards for quality branding
•Make sure that production processes meet international and national standards by ensuring the S6 is in place
•Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency within production print
•Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
•Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures for quality within production
•Assess the effectiveness of changes made

Reporting and Monitoring
•Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports
Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements

People Management
•Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
•Make sure the Production department is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors
•Train and manage a team of quality control checkers.

Health and safety
•Responsible for the adherence to company safety policies and procedures in area and required to take action to ensure that these standards are met.

Qualifications
NQF 7Quality Assurance/Quality Management - Essential
NQF 6Certification in IS09001- Desirable
