Specification

1.Qualifications required:

Minimum academic qualification: Bachelors Degree (preferably Business/ Engineering / Science)
Qualifications as an added advantage: Master’s degree
Professional registration as an added advantage: CIPS

2.Experience required:

General work experience (years): Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in a Trade Marketing and commercial strategy role or both or National accounts management.
Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): Core expertise in Marketing with stints of 5 years. Experience in the Building Materials, Construction or related consumer industry will be an added advantage
Industry: Eave marketing exposure in the consumer industry and strong channel insights experience.

Strong channel insights experience with the ability to generate and present actionable recommendations to a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels
Strong commercial outlook and an ability to drive revenue growth through marketing
Highly Motivated and passionate about trade marketing
Experience in working in a high stress environment with minimum supervision
Strong analytical background or experience will be an added advantage
Requirements
To create trade marketing plans and allocate the A&P budget across all channels and products.
To segment the customer base and work closely with the sales team to optimize channel strategies and maximize ROI.
To work closely with the marketing team to commercialize brand plans.
To drive brand awareness across various categories and products on trade.
To execute the trade marketing plans across regions.
To attend and present at trade shows and events on behalf of the business.
To coordinate the creation and delivery of marketing materials and content.
To manage and motivate the trade marketing officers.
To report on data and industry trends relating to competition.
To review post-mortems to refine and inform future promotional programs.
To monitor competitive activity to refine strategy and preserve market share.
To and maintain master promotional calendar to track activity across all channels to prevent conflicts and drive revenue.
To oversee specific retail and distributor loyalty program developments and implementation across channels.
Budgetary responsibility: Manage the market budget appropriately to ensure an optimal ROI is achieved across key channels
