Introduction
The purpose of this role is to identify opportunities for Educational Business Solutions growth and development and ensure that key account management is focused on achieving this. To ensure sales targets are achieved in terms of new and existing business.

Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and sales methods, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
Attend and make presentations at external customer meetings and internal meetings with others company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
Owns the contract and contract renewals for new and for existing clients
Meet sales targets for new business development
Identify opportunities for account growth and new business
Develop relationships with local government departments, education institutions (public and private, secondary and tertiary), Unions and corporate companies in order to identify new business opportunities in order to generate new business
Negotiating agreements and ensuring sales are generated from those agreements
Drafting and submitting proposals to prospective new customers
Work with Marketing for purposes of development collateral and coordinating tactical activations required for increasing existing business where agreements are in place
Create and maintain a culture of true key account management where the focus is proactively on the needs of the customer
Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue
Reviews all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and clients expectations are met
Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner in line with the Service Level Agreement
Provide assistance in co-coordinating key account management processes to ensure that a high and consistent standard of relationship management is provided
Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicate all offerings to the client
Ensure that current client base is maintained and identify opportunities to develop new business
Maintain a current bankable pipeline on the company’s CRM system
Provide regular sales activity and pipeline report on all New Business acquisition to the line manager
Provide regular updates on account activity for all allocated strategic accounts
Provide weekly sales report in respect of prospective clients
Maintain records of visits to clients and outcomes
Provide reports monthly on activities and performance against targets
Requirements
Minimum: Diploma or degree in Marketing/Business Management or related discipline
At least 5 years’ sales experience in financial sector and/or bursary management and/or skills and training sector and/or higher education sector
3 years’ experience in solution selling and/or SaaS products
5 years’ experience in key account management.
Proven track record in business development
